Most suffering is self-inflicted.
It’s the result of our inability to switch perspectives.
Instead of thinking about positive things, we worry.
Instead of treating challenges as necessary for growth, we think we’re being punished.
And when there’s an inconvenience in our daily routines, we complain and blame others instead of treating it as an opportunity to solve a problem.
We can’t help it. We’re humans.
Life is mysteriously complex. We’re not really good at it. Most people are just pretending.
The simple explanation is this:
Point A is birth. Point Z is death. Anything in between is just our interpretation.
In the grand scheme, all our worries, complaints, and trivial inconveniences are a speck of dust. So are our sufferings. Next year or even next month, we won’t even remember them. Poof. They’re nothing.
The world can move on without us. Yes. Without me. Without you.
So why take things too seriously? You’re not the center of the universe.
Do your best. → Accept the outcome and the things you can’t control. → Move forward.
