Ambitions aren’t free. They come at a price:
- Your health
- Your time
- Your energy
- Money
- Your relationships
And whether you like it or not, the price is the sacrifice.
Sacrifice your health, and you’ll end up unhealthy and ill (even worse dead).
Sacrifice all your time, and you’ll end up ignoring your loved ones, or other activities you love, or things that matter to you.
Sacrifice all your energy, and you’ll end up feeling wasted every day.
Sacrifice majority of your money (or other people’s money), and you’ll end up waking up each day panicking, the stress is killing you inside.
Sacrifice your relationships, and you’ll end up alone and lonely and empty.
This is quite easy to understand: If you pour all your resources into one thing, you’ll lose all your resources.
But let’s say you did pour it all.
Now, aren’t you happy?
I don’t know. All I know is that all your achievements are pointless if you’re unhealthy and don’t have someone or other people to share with. What’s the point?
Whatever you want to achieve, there’s more to life than your ambitions.
In the end, it’s all about knowing what truly matters to you.
Is it more money? Is it having freedom?
Or is it your well-being and loved ones?
Go figure out.
“So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they’re busy doing things they think are important. This is because they’re chasing the wrong things.” — Morrie Schwartz
