“At the end of the day, it’s just you.”
I’m not sure what that quote means for you.
But I think about it this way: No matter what I do or what others do, at the end of the day, I still end up with myself. I’m still inside this body.
This is a good reminder every time I try to please others or save others’ lives. Or whenever someone hurt me for some reason.
If I please others or save their lives, will that change the truth that I’m inside this body?
If someone hurt me or I hurt someone, will that change the truth that I’m inside this body?
One thing always remains: I’m still me.
If the government collapses tomorrow, I’m still me. If the economy collapses tomorrow, I’m still me. If the world ends tomorrow, I’m still me.
I was born me. I will die as me
Same with you and the rest of the people. Whatever happens to you or to the world…
You are you. They are they.
That’s a fundamental truth.
