Most people know what’s important and what’s not.
It’s simple. Unimportant things are things that don’t really matter. A waste of time. Why waste time if you know life is short?
But that’s not the real problem.
The real problem is we still keep wasting time on things that are unimportant, though we all agree those things are unimportant.
One way to know if a thing is really important is to ask yourself whether you’ll care about it after a week.
Would you still care about the life of that celebrity or influencer next week? Would you still care about that politician next week? Would you still care about what your social media friends are doing next week?
These things don’t matter in the future.
It may sound important right now because of the hype and social pressure, but that doesn’t mean it’s directly important to your own life.
Be honest with yourself. Decide what’s important to you, and what’s not. Prioritize.
Do everything to avoid (or at least minimize) those unimportant things.
Otherwise, you live with zero direction. Following what others are handed to you.
